I often get asked where I come up with my ideas. I have also been told that anyone can write a children's book (referring to my newest book for primary- aged kids "Kindergarten Mishaps."). Many new writers also tell me about how they are only writing their book so they can sell a million copies or "make a name for themselves." Writing is hard and writers rarely see the fortune writers like JK Rowling have seen.

I was raised in a tiny town in Southern Washington State by my mom. I have a younger brother, Derrick (I call him Fozy) and two friends who I think of as my sisters (Suzanna and Nellie).
